De Great Taste Award 2023, georganiseerd door de Guild of Fine Food in Groot-Brittannië, heeft Royal Green Coconut Cream Extra Virgin bekroond met maar liefst 2 sterren.
Marieke Jongens: "Bij Royal Green doen we geen concessies aan kwaliteit. Daarom kunnen we met trots vertellen dat we de afgelopen jaren niet één, niet twee, maar drie Great Taste Awards hebben gewonnen met onze biologische Extra Virgin Coconut Cream. Dit jaar is het product zelfs bekroond met 2 sterren; iets wat een fantastische prestatie is omdat minder dan 10% van de inschrijvingen 2 sterren behaald. Producten met 2 sterren worden door de juryleden beoordeeld als: 'Outstanding. Above and beyond delicious'."
Het jurycommentaar luidt als volgt:
'A very fresh and clean-looking coconut oil. It has a real 'young' coconut aroma - like we have just cracked a coconut. It’s not cloying, and our palates are gently engulfed in coconut flavour but left clean and craving more. It's delicate, creamy, moreish and delicious!
This oil has a distinct coconut flavour without being overpowering. It has a good melt, and there is an almost toasty coconut note to the aroma of the melted product. Clean finish.
This coconut oil has a pleasingly thick and smooth flavour and texture. It delivers subtle notes of coconut and a smooth finish with a rich mouthfeel and enjoyable clean finish. An enjoyable product that would work well in many uses.'
